Medusa- lasered brass LE 33

THE CURSED GORGONEION

Forged in the age when gods still walked among mortals, this coin was not meant for trade or treasure. It was created as a ward, a shield against the unspeakable.

The front bears the face of Medusa, carved at the moment of her fury — tongue out, eyes wide, serpents alive with rage. Ancient warriors believed that to gaze upon the Gorgoneion was to turn fear itself to stone. They carried it not to honor Medusa, but to borrow her curse.

The reverse reads ΜΕΔΟΥΣΑ, encircled by the cracked, broken meander of a ruined temple. These fractures were said to mark the cracks in fate — the places where destiny could be bent, or broken, by those willing to defy the gods.

Legend says only a handful of these talismans were ever forged. Each one belonged to a warrior who walked willingly into the jaws of death, trusting Medusa’s wrath to guard their souls.

Some returned.

Most did not.

But every coin that survived the centuries carries a whisper of the same ancient truth:

“To face the monster is to become unbreakable.”
