Legend of Davy Jones’ Blood Doubloon
They say the Blood Doubloon was the first coin ever forged from the gold teeth of a drowned admiral — a man who struck a bargain with Davy Jones himself to command the sea… and paid for it with his blood.
Jones melted that cursed gold in the fire of a ship’s hell, quenched it in the coldest trench, and carved into it the mark of his own blood — a drop that never dries, forever red and warm to the touch.
The curse?
Whoever holds the Doubloon gains what every pirate dreams:
- fair winds
- sunken treasure drawn to their hull
- enemies torn apart by the sea itself.
But the sea always collects its due.
Each dawn you live with the coin, the tide creeps higher in your lungs. You start coughing salt. Barnacles bloom on your skin. By the thirteenth night… your heart stops beatin’, but your body sails on — a servant of Jones, neither dead nor alive, hunting for more souls to add to the Locker.
Many have cast it back into the sea.
All of them… found it again.
For the Blood Doubloon chooses its keeper.
